Overview
The Juvenile Department maintains records of matters involving persons under the age of 18. The following are types of cases handled through the Juvenile Division:
- Delinquency
- Dependency
- Termination of Parental Rights (pursuant to F.S. Ch. 39)
- Adoption (resulting from F.S. Ch. 39)
- Removal of Disability of Non-Age (Emancipation)
- Children in Need of Services (CINS)
- Family in Need of Services (FINS)
Notice
Juvenile records are non-public. Release of any information regarding a juvenile is limited and may only be obtained by appropriate parties to a case pursuant to Chapters 39 and 985 of the Florida Statutes. A party must present proper identification in order to obtain information and/or copies of juvenile's records.
